I love it when the blossom arrives. You know that Spring is finally on it’s way and the days are beginning to get longer. When I used to do the school run and the girls were small, we used to stand under the blossom trees and give any low branches a little shake so we could have a blossom shower. Then we would take home some of the flowers and put them in water or press them in a book.
This was a quick watercolour painting – I didn’t have much time that day – but it worked well because I had to keep it loose and transparent which reflected how delicate the flowers are.
