Thank you for coming to visit Tree House Designs. It’s always hard to talk about yourself. I don’t do it very often, although I always love to read about other people who I think sound nice or interesting, so with that in mind, I’ll tell you a bit about myself.
My name is Teresa, but to my friends I’m known as Trees, Tree or even T. I’m 52, but rarely acknowledge being that grown up. I have three lovely daughters, one patient husband, a hairy dog called Indie and a slightly overweight cat called Lola.
We all live in a house that’s bit too small in Teddington and love this area and its community feel. We’ve lived here for about 20 years, but I grew up in a village called Billingshurst in West Sussex.
Before I became a Mum, I worked in marketing, PR and sales promotion. Sometimes dull, sometimes exciting, nearly always fun and definitely busy, I ended up working on things such as photocopying competition entries for a whole week (not fun) to organising an awards lunch at the House of Commons and watching Paddy Ashdown perform an action man manoeuvre to answer a phone that was behind a stack of chairs (fun) to being wrestled to the ground by Mr Blobby (horrifying) to organising a ski and snowboard event in Austria (definitely fun).
I have always loved to paint, draw and have a go at making things, but never took it any further than O-level art, so I’m mostly self-taught.
I lead a relatively simple life and love all things natural as well as things that are hand-made or vintage.
I love making lists, reading, plants, history, beer and chips in a cozy pub, long walks and my friends. I dislike grumpy people, hot prawns and spiders.
