Finally it snowed!! We were out for hours and had Finally it snowed!! We were out for hours and had so much fun.

Wet and cold when we arrived home. Coats, boots and clothes drying everywhere, but definitely worth it! 🌨❄

Gin and wine help too ... ☕🍷

Happy Weekend 🙂

I've finally finished drawing my A-Z letters 🎉 I've finally finished drawing my A-Z letters 🎉 Now they're completed I'm thinking about getting them printed as cards. What do you think?

They're also available as original hand drawn individual letters to be framed .. just have a look under Commissions on the website.

Happy hump day and goodbye Trump day!

A little wander down to Teddington Lock, stopping A little wander down to Teddington Lock, stopping off for a cappuccino and mini doughnut at Cafe Benedict.

Rest of the day involved reading, cleaning, a Lush bath, roast dinner, punch needle and a bit of telly - we finished watching Traces, which was pretty good.

And that's another weekend done 💕
There was quite a lot of naughty food involved yes There was quite a lot of naughty food involved yesterday. No. 2 daughter kindly remembered that I had missed out on a special bun for my birthday before Christmas, so I had a belated one and some of my normal one, so in fact I double bunned .. no complaints though 😉

Me and 'im indoors went for a big loop of a walk, mostly avoiding the park as it's pretty muddy. Ended up being about 8km, so one slice of bun worked off.

By this point it was time for a Gin Ton and homemade lasagne. It was meat night, so a fair amount of excitement from the crew.

28km walk needed to work that off ... oh well 🤷‍♀️
Finished this one off this morning. Happy enough Finished this one off this morning.

Happy enough for a first go with the new paint 🙂
Received the first of three Rarebirds Books this m Received the first of three Rarebirds Books this morning. Hubby got me a subscription for Christmas. Love the packaging and bookmarks and all the authors are women. Check out @rarebirdsbookclub for more info.

I have quite a massive pile of books to read, so I'm not going to unwrap this one till I'm ready to start 😁
Just checking in to see how everyone's doing on th Just checking in to see how everyone's doing on this soggy Tuesday evening?

I've been keeping busy with some painting and a bit of making, quite a lot of planning and a fair amount of exercise to allow me to keep on eating Quality Streets 😁

I usually use watercolour or oils when I paint, but am trying out some acrylic gouache for a change. Not sure I like the result yet, but having loads of fun trying them out so something good is bound to happen eventually!
Got up with the intention of just staggering downs Got up with the intention of just staggering downstairs for a nice cuppa and a quiet read, but then I looked out the window to a bit of a winter wonderland, so we headed out instead.

Totally lovely over the park and we beat the crowds too so worth getting up and out.

Not much else for the rest of the day. Bit of painting, and a bit of reading or re-reading at the moment. Big Magic is one of my favourites - love the writing and the way it opens your mind to creativity and inspiration. Perfect to get you out of the January slump, especially as it seems hard to find inspiration at the moment when most days are exactly the same 😁
Saturday's bun day, although we also tried a raspb Saturday's bun day, although we also tried a raspberry croissant this morning. The colour's amazing and there's nothing like starting the day off with raspberry jam dribbling down yer chin!
Also had a long and chilly late afternoon walk in the park. Gorgeous sunset with a hot choccie and the fire lit to warm us up when we got home.

This is one of my favourite little corners. I defi This is one of my favourite little corners. I definitely couldn't be called minimalist, but most of what we have in our house has a story or a memory or is special in some way.
For instance, the little brass pot on the shelf by the drawers contains a page from a calendar that I kept and carefully folded up when I was 8. It was the day my Nan died. Not really sure why I put it in there, but it's stayed there ever since quite happily!
