We bought these plants when we were on holiday in Cornwall. My youngest had carefully chosen hers along with a lovely handmade pot and paid for it with her own money. Unfortunately, about 3 seconds after she took her bag of swag, she dropped it. There was a big breath from all of us as we waited for the tears … but she stoically looked at me with a quivering lip, so I asked her if she wanted to find Dad outside, which she did. The very kind shop owner and I did a deal and bought another pot, so all was ok in the end. The other one is still under my desk and one day I’ll get around to a wabi sabi fix.
